BIO-PHOTONIC FILTER USING PLANT PIGMENTS

Vishal Abstract
Srivathsan uncle,
Algae is a primitive organism, and its application is in bio fuels, bio reactors and bio sensors. When we analyze the need of a filter, in light, it is doing rounds as photosensitivity, photoallergic skin, photo blowers in day today lighting appliances. Every household and office premises primarily function on these lights. Hence, a filter, on basic lighting bulbs, is needed. Any filter, is used as a mode to block waves or airflow. A filter to block harmful uv and other rays is widely used in pharmaceutical and drug industry, in medicinal fields, as algae powered bio photonic sesnors, reactors and filters in laser applications. Thin films are  used in industrial application but not once has there been a eco filter, in household lights. There, are of course, filters using toxic chemicals like neon and fluroscent liquids, with LED . But, the proposed idea of  algae induced photonic filter, on basic lighting using bio-elements , is non-toxic, and it is eco-friendly.
My proposed idea, requires a specific family of species called, Marine diatom, which is also a microalgae. A good example is a family of species, called Thalassesira. This photonic filter, can be produced, from the nanoparticles present in the alkaloid compounds, of that species.

This is my abstract, and work has been done largely in the phase of experimenting with the samples. Howeever, detailed study is required to implement the same as a complete product solution.
